TP320A Portable Thermal Imaging Camera

The TP320A is a plug-in thermal imaging camera for Android smartphones. It connects via USB Type-C and works with the FOTRIC Genie app to display real-time thermal images on your phone screen by detecting infrared radiation and converting it into temperature readings.

It is ideal for home inspections (checking floor heating, air conditioning, and detecting air leaks around doors/windows), equipment inspections (identifying hot spots in electrical cabinets, monitoring motor temperatures, and checking HVAC systems), and outdoor exploration (observing nocturnal animal activity and detecting residual heat).

The TP320A features an infrared resolution of 320×240, which can be enhanced to 640×480 using the Super Resolution feature. It has a high thermal sensitivity (NETD) of <35mK@30°C for detecting minute temperature differences. The lens is focus-free with a 60°×45° Field of View (FOV) and a minimum imaging distance of 0.2m.

The temperature range is -20°C to 550°C (-4°F to 1022°F), with manually switchable spans (-20-150°C / 50-550°C). The accuracy is ±2°C or ±2%, whichever is greater (at 15~35°C ambient, target >0°C, calibrated at 1m).

The TP320A requires an Android smartphone running Android 12 or above with the OTG function enabled. It does not support iPhones.

Download the FOTRIC Genie App from Google Play. Enable the OTG function in your phone's settings, connect the TP320A to your phone via the USB Type-C cable, and open the app. It will automatically detect the device and enter the live view. You can also update device firmware directly through the app's "Devices" page.

The TP320A does not have a built-in battery and requires no charging or boot-up time. It is powered entirely by your phone via USB Type-C. With a typical power consumption of only 0.5W, its impact on your phone's battery life is minimal.

It supports two image modes: Thermal image and Thermal image + Visible light. There are 10 color palettes available (Iron Red, Gray White, Rainbow, Spring Rain, Medical, Gray Red, Blazing, Gray Mid-tone, Green Mid-tone, Prism). It also supports palette inversion, composite palettes (manual temperature span), and color alarms (highlighting temperatures above, below, or between custom thresholds).

You can capture JPG images or record MP4 videos directly in the app (including single-frame captures during recording). For analysis, you can add temperature measurement points, lines, and rectangles directly on the live view or saved images. All files and generated Word/PDF reports can be shared directly through your phone's system sharing function.

Yes. It supports custom high and low-temperature alarms for the global maximum and minimum temperatures. It also supports manual NUC (Non-Uniformity Correction) via the app, which is a quick calibration process to maintain consistent thermal image quality.

The standard kit is highly versatile. It includes the main unit, a carrying bag, various USB Type-C cables/adapters (Male-to-Female cable/extension, straight coupler), a handle tripod, an extension rod, two ball head mounts, a magnetic base, a phone holder, and two 1/4" screw adapters. You can plug it directly into your phone, mount it on the handle tripod, attach it to metal surfaces via the magnetic base, or mount it on any standard tripod using the 1/4-UNC-20 thread.

The TP320A is ultra-portable, weighing just 40g and measuring 71mm × 33mm × 15.5mm (fits easily in a pocket). It has an IP40 rating (protected against solid objects larger than 1mm, but not waterproof) and comes with a 1-year warranty for the whole unit.
